It is 23 December 2009 and I have just received through the post my 2009/2010 solicitors practising certificate.
As it is expressed to run from 1 November 2009 (and I started paying for it in October) I can’t help feeling that this is a bit on the late side. Its a good thing none of my clients have, in the interim, demanded to see proof that I am entitled to practice.
I’m sure it never used to be as late as this.
Can you imagine what the response would be from the SRA if we were so slow in responding to their letters !!
As I did not have it for about 1/6 of the time I was supposed to, do you think they would give me a 1/6 refund? No, I don’t either …
